The Hoop Dancing initiative seamlessly connected Pojoaque Pueblo youth with the artistic, deeply regarded, and expressive facets of their cultural heritage. The Pojoaque Youth Hoop Dancers Project went beyond merely preserving cultural traditions; it served as a dynamic catalyst for intergenerational culture maintenance. The program actively fostered connections and facilitated the transfer of knowledge between the youth and older generations. The performances by the Pojoaque Pueblo Youth Hoop Dance Group not only showcased the richness of their cultural heritage but also provided an authentic and immersive experience for visitors to Pojoaque Pueblo and the surrounding area.
Enhanced Youth Wellness through Traditional Medicine by Chavez Gallery School of the Santero, the Youth Herbal Project is tackling addiction and cultural trauma in Northern New Mexico.
This project provided hope and transformation in the Española Valley through support, alternative therapies, and local herbal remedies.
