Santa Fe County

The Northern Rio Grande National Heritage Area includes three counties within its boundaries. Santa Fe County is one of these counties. The County contains the City of Santa Fe, which is the State Capitol, and the oldest Capital City in the United States. It is also home to four Tewa Pueblos -- Tesuque, Pojoaque, Nambe, and San Ildefonso. Lands of two other pueblos, Cochiti and Kewa (Santo Domingo), extend slightly into the County boundaries.
