Kathryn A. Hayden’s specialty is photo artisty. Her goal is to highlight the beauty and hope that surrounds her in the Northern New Mexico canvas and to move viewers to contemplate more than just the surface imagery. Her technique blends the boundaries of fine art photography and digital painting mastery through layering of texture, color grading and layered dimensions.
Her studio is located in the heart of the historic Kit Carson district where she draws upon the inspiration of sitting atop and among some of the best galleries in Taos.
Kathryn’s work is shown in various galleries and locations throughout the area and has appeared in juried and non-juried shows throughout New Mexico.

The young artist was introduced to scientific and naturalist illustrator, Karoly Fogassy, who provided her with private instruction and mentored her through her apprenticeship. He taught her how a professional uses pen, pencil and paint, how to observe and interpret.
- Professionally Deborah’s career began as a scientific illustrator. Wildlife provided the main themes for her studio work, gaining commissions from the American Bass Association, Save the Seal Foundation and participating in National Audubon exhibitions. Juried exhibitions include the Western Spirit Art Show and Vandewark Miniature Show in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Deborah received her BFA from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
- Today, she lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico with her husband. The wondrous New Mexico light and southwest setting provide the inspiration and opportunity to capture the images she loves in the western setting that is her heritage.

DOUBLE LEO, ARIES MOON is a CD of her collaborations with musicians. She has exhibited her visual art at El Museo Cultural, Individual Arts of Oklahoma, and Living Arts of Tulsa. Performances include the SOMOS Writers Series and the Flickinger Center for the Otero Arts Council.
