John Macker

John Macker has lived in New Mexico for over 20 years; is the author of nine books of poetry including Adventures in the Gun Trade, The Royal Road: Impressions of El Camino Real (with woodblock artist Leon Loughridge), Woman of the Disturbed Earth, Disassembled Badlands and Blood in the Mix (with El Paso poet Lawrence Welsh) among others. He contributes essays on poets and poetry to Albuquerque's Malpais Review. Has edited the Desert Shovel Review. Forthcoming: Book of the Gorge. His work continues to be published on-line and in journals and magazines throughout he U.S. and Canada. Has won several awards for his work including the 2006 Mad Blood magazine literary arts award.

Gary Worth Moody's first collection of poems, HAZARDS OF GRACE was published by Red Mountain Press in 2012. His second collection, OCCOQUAN, (short listed for the International Rubery Book Award in Poetry) also published by Red Mountain Press in March 2015, depicts the struggles of women for emancipation and suffrage in the environs of Virginia's piedmont region and the infamous Occoquan Workhouse. Gary has worked as a forest fire fighter, a farrier, a cowboy, and building a town for coal miners in Siberia’s Kuzbass Region. A falconer, Gary lives in Santa Fe with the artist and writer, Oriana Rodman, two dogs, and PLAGUE, a male passage red-tail hawk. Ann Weisman is a published poet with two chapbooks, OPEN AIR and PLAYING THE MESSAGES TWICE, as well as a full length book, eye imagine: performances on paper. DOUBLE LEO, ARIES MOON is a CD of her collaborations with musicians. She has exhibited her visual art at El Museo Cultural, Individual Arts of Oklahoma, and Living Arts of Tulsa. Performances include the SOMOS Writers Series and the Flickinger Center for the Otero Arts Council.
