I am an American artist Linda Storm who paints with Cuban artist Pabo Perea. We had solitary artistic careers until we became neighbors in rural New Mexico. Our inevitable artistic collaboration began in 2010. We have created more than 200 paintings together and exhibited 100 at a solo exhibition in NYC. We are very interested in placing our art in public places.
In our Santa Fe, NM studio we paint parables. Through archetypal, surreal symbolism we depict the impact of humans on nature, her endurance, and the universal cycle of life. There you will find oil wells rooted to dinosaur bones, corn spirits growing, a horned goddess sowing seeds, and many works in progress, as we prepare for our upcoming solo exhibitions in NYC and in Havana, Cuba. A review of our 2014 NYC exhibit stated: Their art “most certainly has opened a new window on the horizon indeed for this century in art”.
Together we are four hands, two cultures, one artist. Our art is a visual language of our story, and our trust in each other to depict it with humility and confidence. All of our art has two signatures: Linda Storm and Pablo Perea. Our vision is for our art to be a global presence of cultural collaboration across the varied landscapes of humanity.

Encaustic is an ancient technique involving melted beeswax, damar resin and pigment applied in layers like translucent veils. Each layer is then fused with the fire of a blowtorch.
I come to encaustic with a textile sensibility. Each step of the process is like weaving-the warps and wefts of life and art, of loss, desire, longing and death are fused together in the layers of wax with fire. I seek to create images that resonate with history as well as the modern; the rare and the common; order and disorder. My paintings are constructions of memory and desire and fragments of personal information. Through them I also can trace my travels-from the cisterns of Istanbul to the frescoes of Florence to the tragic beauty that is India. I weave the foundations and make marks and find that history, the poem, the light or the dark follows on its own.
I live and work in Santa Fe, NM.

I'm a surrealist landscape painter living and working in Santa Fe. I use my surroundings for my inspiration, capturing images by camera and drawing. I then go about translating the feelings I had while studying a landscape by re-creating those experiences onto canvas. I use bold colors, southwester colors and forms to turn hard objects into a moving, living landscapes. I take observers eyes skillfully through my paintings using composition, shapes and colors.
